Watercolour painting can be as traditional or as 'abstract'
as you want to make it.
Caroline will show you how to approach watercolours in both traditional and modern ways.
You can paint BIG on heavyweight paper.
Caroline encourages you to be expressive and develop your own style.
Our watercolour weekends are in the Studio and on location. (Subject to weather). That's the beauty of having the Professional Art Studio, we don't let the weather stop us doing anything!
The essence of a good watercolour drawing is good drawing - so Caroline shows you how to compose your drawings, finding your focal point and thinking about perfect composition. You learn tonal values - very important factor in watercolour painting. How to use your brushes etc. ALL YOUR PROFESSIONAL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED - including BIG heavyweight paper and the selection of all watercolour brushes. From Mops to Riggers!
These are usually lovely weekends where we combine learning all you need to know in the Studio with going on location, to the fantastic countryside and architecture of Mapledurham.
